If I dreamt you would forget me
I'd never leave your side;
Because you fill this heart of mine
To the brim and more besides.

You have delved into me
So deep and so pure;
Reaching into my heart and soul
That I will remember you forever more.

Don't forget the stories from long ago
That will get handed down;
We don't want them lost for all time
In centuries they will drown.

Everything fades eventually there
Are stories that I want to be heard;
A couple of generations at least
Not lost with the funerals last words.

My Forget-Me-Not

It's just a little flower,
But it has a great big thought;
'Cause every time you look at it,
It says, "Forget me not!"

When I am gone and my memories in stone.
When the day is done and you are all alone.
Forget me not for all the loving times we shared
and for wedding vows that we declared.

The children remember words you said very often
Their voices choked and becoming softened
We all love you and think of you still
We forget you not and we always will

I couldn't forget you if I tried
All my senses you left reeling;
Dying of thirst to relive this
To get some more of this feeling.

Every nerve sensory I possess
You touched with a living flame;
I now know that no matter what
I will never ever be the same.

I hope you felt the same way too
Our souls locked at a certain time;
For a brief romance that withered away
For a moment or too-you were mine.

Our little ones whisper,"Forget me not",
As their specialness wraps around our heart.
Their short little lives hold meaning and love.
Their spirits have touched us-each and everyone.
They have left their gifts for us to uncover,
If we open our eyes,our hearts and our lives.
The road to discovery is hilly and dark.
Will we long harbor the pain or set our wings for the light?
Our lives have been changed,our paths filled with sorrow.
Yet their memories embrace us and our love lasts forever.
If we open our hearts,their gifts shall unfold,as we
Forget them not.

There is a sweet, a lovely flower,
Tinged deep with faith’s unchanging hue,
Pure as the ether in its hour
Of loveliest and serenest blue.

The streamlet’s gentle side it seeks,
The silent fount, the shaded grot;
And sweetly to the heart it speaks
Forget-me-not, forget-me-not.

See the flowers, how they grow;
Hear the winds that gently blow.
Bird and insect, flower and tree,
Know they must not idle be;

Each has something it must do
Little children, so must you.
Oh, this sweet and lovely flower
Forget-me-not, forget-me-not.

I now realise that I live in my head a lot
That I'm from a time that others don't give a jot;
My memories are now all that I have left
But don't feel sorry I am not bereft.

There will be others who forget me not
The same as they; I do not;
We're joining the history books about now
As out of this life I now take a bow.
